Picking up Aunt Erin

While this little girl stayed home with mommy, Jax was off to Indianapolis to pick up his Aunt Erin for a few weeks.

Jax had fun playing in the airport, then being some crazy sticker guy at Steak n’ Shake!

A few more July pics

July was such a fun month as I settled into maternity leave and we continued our summer of mini-vacays. We also had some fun times at home too!

Goodbye 505 James Parkway

While we had been moved out for over 6 months, it was sad to finally say goodbye to 505 James Parkway in July. We became parents twice in that house. First to Wrigley, then to Jaxon. We were sad to see it go, but were excited to settle in to our new house in Eureka.

We won’t miss the leaves or maintaining that much landscaping, but will miss the shade in the backyard and our cozy little home!

Mill Creek 2011

Since I hope to make these into books for the kids someday…you will have to be patient with me while I try to catch up! Life with 2 is simply put…chaotic! However, we love every minute of it, just don’t always get time to blog. I’ll try to fast forward quickly so we can get to the news now…you know, in September of 2012.

This was our first year invited to discover the magic of Mill Creek. Mill Creek is right around where Dad grew up in Marshall, IL. There isn’t much to do down there, but Jessica found a rental house right on the lake. We were looking forward to a nice quiet weekend with 6 adults and 4 kids, including a newborn. I realize I didn’t get many pictures, but we enjoyed our time in the water!

Ava and I also had a good time, but I guess it was sunny!

Kensley did great and stayed inside most of the time. Hopefully she can go back again. Mill Creek – Thank you for the memories, we hope to be back soon!

Sip n’ See

Aunt Jessica and Bebe hosted a lovely sip n’ see to debut Kensley! We enjoyed an afternoon of sipping, snacking, talking and watching every move Kensley made!

The food was wonderful! The peanut butter cup cupcakes were so good!

I love this one. Bebe tries to buy boy toys, but when you grow up around Ava and Reese, girly things get in the way! At least it matches Bebe’s shirt.

One Month Old

Kensley continued to grow over the summer, but managed to stay relatively small in the beginning…more to come on that later!

Kensley did like to cross her eyes a little bit. I’ll just post one baby girl! You are so funny!

4th of July 2011

When Ryan first mentioned going up to visit his family in Wisconsin for the 4th of July, I asked “Are you kidding me? With a newborn?” I was responded to with a quick “Yeah, what is wrong with that?” I thought we could wait and decide after the baby was born. Kensley was such a good baby that we decided to take on the challenge and it was a success!

Ryan’s Aunt Sharon and Uncle Mike host us with food and fun while we stay at Cousin Tom’s place. It is always a good time since their whole family comes in for the festivities.

We tried to stay out of the way and headed over to the zoo. Jax and Daddy enjoyed riding the train and Jax also enjoyed the new playground they added in addition to all of those crazy animals!

Now, for the real reason Jax attends other than seeing family…the bouncy house!

Great times had by all. Thanks for hosting us Best family! Hope you invite us back next year with another toddler running around!
