Boo!

In preparations for Halloween, we have been sneaking up on Jax while singing the Jaws theme song. Once we see him, we yell "Boo!" I know what you are thinking...this is scary to a 7 month old baby. Not so...He starts laughing as soon as he hears the Jaws theme, then harder once you say Boo. We have a big day planned...look for Superman to appear on the blog within a few days!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Ryan's birthday is today and Jax wanted to be the first to say happy birthday to daddy...right around midnight! Poor guy was up for awhile and kept crying...borderline screaming...when we would put him back in his crib. I'm assuming this is related to teething as he did this once last week too. A week or two ago, we found a top tooth had cut through. Poor guy!

After we all got home, we headed over to Peoria to do some shopping for Ryan. Happy Birthday!

I will decide what we watch on TV!

Jaxon has been into TV for a few months now. So far, his favorite show has been the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but he likes all kinds of shows, football, cartoons, pretty much anything.

Jax also likes to control what we watch. Last weekend he turned it to the movie Home Fries, but Daddy didn't let it stay there. Today Jax decided he didn't want to watch Phineas and Ferb so he turned it to the Weather Channel. Maybe he was hoping for a warm weather front to be predicted?

7 Months Old

Jaxi Babe turned 7 months old yesterday! To celebrate we went out in the freezing cold to a WHS freshman football game. It was cold, but our bundled up baby loved it! He didn't hardly want to take his bottle because his eyes were on the field. Do we have a future football star on our hands? Mommy is not sure how she feels about contact sports yet :) We then continued the celebration at Taco Bell for lunch. After an afternoon of naps and playing, we got to see Ryan's Aunt Becky who was up for a visit. The night ended at Grandpa and Bebe Samford's house enjoying pizza and french fries for an early birthday party for Ryan. What a day!

I love this picture because you can see Jaxi's teeth if you look close. Today he had a bit of a rough day and wasn't quite himself. We think those top teeth are trying to break through. Poor guy! (You wouldn't know it from this picture, but trust me. Aunt K witnessed it!)

Preparing for future temper tantrums???

Lately Jax has been rolling onto his belly and placing his head down. Sometimes he likes to play peek a boo, sometimes he sleeps like this and sometimes I think he is preparing for temper tantrums to come down the road...

...Or maybe he is pouting that he will not be the only Davis grandchild for long...Cousin Leman will be arriving in May 2010!

6 Month Photo Shoot

A week or so ago we had an impromptu photo shoot of Jax. He did so good! It didn't hurt that Daddy was off to the side singing "Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog" from Jaxi's favorite show, The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Go Cubs...Even though Jax and I just found out they didn't even make the playoffs.

I love fall, but prefer more of a gradual transition. Oh well, I guess the cold weather is here to stay! At least Jaxon has adorable clothes for fall!

Abby Cadabby Party!

Saturday was Jax's cousins Ava and Reese's birthday party. Jax wasn't his usual bubbly self, but was in a fairly good mood and didn't mind getting passed around. The girls had a great time getting all of their presents and seeing there family. When we told Ava more people were coming, she replied, "more people...more presents!"

After the party Jax attended a wedding reception with Grandma and Grandpa Davis while we headed to Ryan's 10 year high school reunion. We had a chilly time outside at the Mackinaw Valley Winery, but we had a good time anyway!

Today was a big day for us! While Daddy was off to his motorcycle class (by the way, he passed and got his license. Congrats!) Jax and I spent the day hitting the town of Eureka. I was so excited to bundle up Jax in his fall clothes since it was about 50 degrees out. Had to get a pic of this cutie!

We spent the afternoon at Aunt Kristen's house. Jaxi had a great time and was quite a hit. After Aunt K's, we headed over to Grandpa and Bebe's house to see Reese for her birthday tomorrow. Jaxi and Aunt Jessica got to spend some time together...

Reese helped make some cupcakes for her birthday, then decided to act like a baby and get into Jax's car seat. She later proceeded to roll around on his blanket. I think she is in denial that she is turning 2 tomorrow!
Ava didn't let me forget that her birthday was coming up too. For her birthday, she has requested "toys." When we were leaving, I told Reese "Happy Birthday." Ava proceded to tell me to tell her "Happy Birthday" too. How cute!

We ended the night relaxing with a worn out Daddy!
