While Jaxon is taking his afternoon nap, I wanted to get blogging about our trip to the Dells 2 weeks ago! Ryan and I began planning this about a year ago after our first trip to Wisconsin Dells with the Samford fam. This year, we went with Ryan's family and we also met up with the Best family (Ryan's Aunt & Uncle's family). We were so excited, Erin even flew in from Jamaica the day we got to Wisconsin! Grandma Molly rode up with us and kept Jax entertained. He was a perfect angel...partly because of us letting him have his paci the whole trip...and partly because Daddy spoiled him with new DVDs to watch on the way up: Little Einsteins and Phineas and Ferb :)
We rented 2 condos and ate most of our meals in our rooms which was way less stressful than going out to eat! With 5 kids (4 were 3 and under), I'm sure everyone will agree, that was the perfect strategy! Now...on to the water park...
Jax and Daddy on the way down to the water park:
These mini geysers kept Jax busy. He seems like such a big boy playing by himself!
More waterfalls with Daddy...
She must have been going for a big splash. She succeeded!
Now for Jaxi's turn!
Walking all by himself in the water. He did not want to hold any body's hand!
Mariah helping Jax down one of the slides in the kiddy area
Papaw and Jax playing with the water toys. So much to do!
Back to the water...Here is Jax playing by himself in the wave pool
Papaw and Jax in the wave pool having a great time!
This was one of the big buckets that filled up and dumped a million gallons of water at once. By the end of the trip Jax knew exactly how this worked. The bells would ring and we would go get in position to get dumbed on!
When we weren't swimming, Jaxon went between our room and the rest of Ryan's family's room since we left the doors cracked. He acted like he owned the place and was so grown up. When Ryan and I would be in our room we would watch Jax head to the door and go to the other side. Then we would hear "Do your parent's know your here?" I can't believe how big he is getting!
Then there was cute little Colt...Here is sleeping in the water park on Grandma Molly's lap. Jax was only a few month older than Colt at this time last year and did the same thing last year!
Here he is looking adorable after one of his first swim experiences
Our entertainment for the evening...Colt is very advanced for his age. He has already rolled over and scoots around the floor. One night we were helping him walk around the table and he felt the need to do a stomping/dancing move. It was hilarious!
"Thanks Aunt Cole! I'm having the best time ever!"
And falling in the wave pool. He loved to go underwater so this kept everyone busy pulling him back up!
Cousin Tom and Mariah with Jax and Ryan in the tubes
I think Daddy had just as much fun as Jax in the water!
More Best/Davis fun with Maddie and Keri in the wave pool
What a great time! Thanks to both families for the exhausting, but so much fun trip!
