Samford Christmas 2010

After playing with some of Jax's new toys, we headed over to PaPaw and Bebe's house for a lovely Christmas breakfast (thank you Bebe) and Samford family fun. Before getting to the gifts, Bebe read an Elmo Christmas book to Jax. Are you noticing a trend? More to come on Elmo in 2011.

Ava was designated as the person to hand out gifts. What a marvelous job she did! Reese posing with her pile of gifts. Those girls were so excited, they couldn't wait to open their gifts.
Bebe had picked out Chuck early in the season to give Jax. Then we were walking around Walmart and Jax pointed to the same toy and said "Chuck" with such excitement. I knew he would love the gift, but not this much! Good pick PaPaw and Bebe. PaPaw loves the gift just as much and him and Jax love to watch Chuck drive around on his own and talk...

I apologize for the limited pictures of the Christmas season. I was still battling morning sickness and had a rough Christmas day. I slept after gift opening until we had to go to the Davis' for lunch. After eating lunch with Ryan's extended family, I slept over there until the kids opened their gifts. I am so glad to be over all of that part of the pregnancy! Overall, we had a great time at Christmas, especially celebrating our last Christmas in our house in Washington.

Christmas Morning 2010 - Santa

Christmas morning we were all up bright and early to see what Santa had brought Jaxon this year. He did not disappoint! Jax loves cooking and playing with kitchen sets and Santa remembered! We captured the reaction with our Flip, but I have trouble loading videos so I will try that later. Before moving on to the other gifts, Jax made a few phone calls.

Now, on to the rest of the gifts. It was so nice to see Jax actually unwrap the gifts this year. Now we got a better view of him seeing all the new goodies! New trucks! Little did Jaxon know that these would fit with a toy Aunt Jessica and family would be giving him later. P.S. Don't you love the Santa pajamas? So cute :)
Jaxon's favorite book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, but we only have a paper copy. Needless to say, it has been ripped up, so Santa was nice enough to bring a board book version. How nice! Don't mind that Jax was reading it upside down...
And...Sesame Street puzzle pieces
Jaxon loves to watch himself on camera so we watched him opening his presents
Mommy and Jax enjoying Elmo
Elmo was a gift from Santa and was meant for his first day at his new daycare a week or so after Christmas in Eureka. However, Daddy was too excited and gave it to him early. Jax quickly got back to his guitar practice while Elmo had milk and cereal.
Thank you Santa! Maybe Jax will sit on you lap and smile next year since you brought him so many fun toys this year!

Davis Christmas 2010

Sorry for the delay, but we are back! Ryan was nice enough to find the memory card reader and now I can get back to blogging...ok, he found it a month ago, but it is hard to blog when you fall asleep on the couch by 8 every night :)

Our first Christmas of the season was with Ryan's immediate family. It was so nice to have Aunt Erin home and Jaxon loved it!

Jaxon and "Aunt Ennin" entertained the family with some beautiful music. On to the fun stuff...presents! Jaxon got so many toys and books. He loved it!
Colt even joined in on the action getting several toys for himself. We can't believe how big he is getting. Seems like Jax was just that age and now he is mister big stuff.
Aunt Erin gave Jax a new guitar. Grandma Molly was nice enough to teach Jax how to use it. I wish I had a video of her teaching him how to dance and perform with it. It was so cute! Jax played with the guitar for hours that night, just playing songs and dancing.
Thanks for a great kickoff to Christmas!
