Birthday Ride

Jaxon got his new ride on his birthday...a Dodge Charger police car! It was so nice out on his big day that we got to go outside and enjoy it. He is a bit short so Pa-Paw has made a little bench so he could drive. He loves driving around the yard, turning on the siren and talking on the CB. Love you big boy! Can't believe you are 2 years old!

Elmo Birthday Pary!

There wasn't any debate on what the theme of Jaxon's 2nd birthday party would be...yep, you guessed it...ELMO! This guy was crazy about Elmo since last fall. As the party supplies arrived, Jax continued to get more and more excited. For the 2nd year in a row, the party started before he woke up from his nap. Here is Jax and Daddy at the beginning of the party, ready to celebrate.

My pride and joy...an Elmo cake. We practiced the week before and Jaxon became accustomed to "Elmo cake" every night after dinner. He asked for it each night. The only downfall was the red face afterwards.

This giant Elmo balloon welcomed all of our guests to the party.

And it wouldn't be complete without Tickle Me Elmo hanging out with us!

All of the kids got candy, bubbles and Elmo rings...who even knew they made so much Elmo stuff!

Reese loved the red punch we had!

Jaxon didn't care too much for food or cake at this party. He only cared about playing with his friends in his room and in the basement. He had so much fun, we didn't even make him eat.

Jaxon kissing Elmo...with the encouragement of his Great Aunt Sandy :)

Cousin Ava giving a high five to Elmo. She was also all decked out in an Elmo t-shirt!

On to the gifts...Jax had so much fun opening all his wonderful gifts. (Ignore the big red belly to the left)

Jax got some cash (you can hardly see it) from his cousins Kara and Travis. I asked for it back to put away and he said "no"! Ryan was able to get it away from him...

Jax and Mommy after gift opening

Blowing kisses to say thank you to all of his guests

Singing "If you are happy and you know it". He always does this when it gets to "your face will surely show it"...it is so cute as he tilts his head back and forth and smiles!

Thank you to all of our friends and family for making Jaxon's 2nd Birthday a blast!

It's a Girl!

As we are only a few days away from having our sweet baby girl, I thought it was time to get the last pictures we have of her up before the delivery! We found out back on February 1, the day the great blizzard of 2011 hit. We knew it was coming and everyone was preparing. Bebe suggested we stay home, but I said "no, I'm finding out what this baby is!" We ended up with a full crew since we didn't want to have to go get Jax at daycare if it was bad on our way home. In our car, we had me, Ryan, Jax and Ma-Maw Davis. In the following car we had Grandpa and Bebe Samford. It is a tradition to take the Grandmas, but this time we had a few extra stragglers. Our party entered the room in anticipation to find out what we were having...Dr. Nord asked what my instinct was and I replied girl, but I wasn't 100% sure. With Jax I was fairly confident he was a boy. The doctor quickly found those 3 dots which I have no idea what they are, but I knew they meant GIRL! After finding out, the party continued at Busy Corner for lunch and the blizzard hit while we were eating. We made it home safely before being stuck home for 2 1/2 days! Here are the 3 dots...although it looks like 4 or 5 from this angle...who knows.

Her cute face :)
Here she is giving us all a waive. It was so nice of her!

While I would be fine if "she" actually came out "he", I would feel terrible to have a boy in a room full of pinks and greens and a very girly wardrobe. Somehow I don't think a tutu would look as cute on a baby boy...Can't wait to meet our baby girl in a few days!
