First day in the toddler room

Jaxon spent his first full day in the toddler room today at daycare. He has been transitioning for about a week. I thought I would have a hard time with it, but he is clearly ready to be with the big kids! So far, he has begun successfully eating at the kiddy table in a chair, taken a nap pacifier free, made crafts and sat on the potty! I was most worried about the pacifier since he isn't allowed to have it in the toddler room, however, he has done great without it. Now...if only we can get rid of it a night! The whole potty thing through me for a loop. I got to the bottom of it today. Jaxon has been watching other kids go on the potty so the teachers let him check it out. He even went one time, but it was right after nap time so he didn't really do it on purpose. I'm sure we still have another year at least before potty training begins, but who knows???

Jaxon will miss his teacher, Miss Dee, the most, but he has his friend Abby to play with since she is already over there. I hear they are quite chummy. In case you were wondering, this isn't the girl that Jaxi sucked on her toes...that is Maddie....she should be joining him soon! Poor Abby, I saw some pictures a few weeks ago that looked like Jaxon was hogging all the toys when she was sitting by him. We'll see how he does when he is the low man on the totem pole.

On to Wrigley...poor guy had knee surgery on Tuesday. He had patella luxation. Don't ask for the details, it sounded painful. He came home Wednesday with 3 medications and a large incision. He doesn't seem to be in too much pain, but doesn't hardly put weight on his knee. So far, Jaxon hasn't tormented him too much. Before the surgery Jaxon would ignore the bum knee and jump on Wrigley. It is going to be a long 2 month recovery with Jaxi around!
